CRAZY 4 CHALLENGES - C4C508 - WREATH CARD

Hello Everyone!

Thanks for stopping by!

This week is my last week hosting over with the Crazy 4 Challenges design team and this week the theme I set is:

Wreaths - I just love the look of wreaths, there's something about them that appeals to my eye.  Put a wreath on your card any style or theme you like!

I really wanted to make a wreath card in the style that I have been seeing lately on youtube using the sliding window pull up die set.  The sliding window die set I used is from Sunny Studio.
And Spellbinders released one in their large die of the month kit back in June which is the one being used at the moment that I am seeing everywhere.  I knew that I could achieve the same effect with the supplies that I already have.

I, also, decided to use the Laurel Wreath stamp and die set that I have had for ages from Concord & 9th and it is always satisfying when you actually use the stuff you buy!  I need to do this more instead of just buy, buy, buy all the time - hahaha - but I am pretty sure I am not the only one who does this.

Anyway, I decided to also incorporate a 'shaker element' with my card and I am so pleased with how this card turned out.  I took many pictures for you to look at :

I loved every minute of hosting this month in October and had so much fun making the cards where I set the theme for the month.

Until next week - it is bye for now!

CRAZY 4 CHALLENGES - C4C507 - SKETCH WEEK

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for stopping by today!

This week over with the Crazy 4 Challenges team it is sketch week and as you all know the sketches are what I have the most trouble with - I know I go on and on about that each time it is sketch week but it's probably my least favourite week with the design team. And I had to come up with a sketch which is something I have never done before.  So I called on Frances for some help and this is the sketch we came up with for this week's sketch challenge.

No photo description available.

And here is my card I did for the sketch challenge - I used papers from Kaisercraft's 'Everlasting' collection and my new stamp set from Altenew - 'Just Because'.  I love all the different looking 'Just Because' stamps and you could mix them up in all different ways.

Thanks for looking and until next week for my final week as challenge hostess - it is bye for now!

CRAZY 4 CHALLENGES - C4C506 - MUSIC CARD

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for stopping by!

This is my second week as hostess for the month of October with the Crazy 4 Challenges and this week our theme is:

Music - let's incorporate something, anything to do with music on your card. Have fun and get creative!

Here is my card that I came up with for this week and I totally cased this card off Pinterest - first I watched this video from PG Papercraft who is a Stampin Up demonstrator and I loved the look of the easel card incorporating the piano keys and then I found another video here on May May's youtube channel which had different measurements which I preferred and I set about making this card for this week's challenge.  The music paper I used was from American Crafts and I purchased it recently at a Spotlight store here in Melbourne. And the rest of this card required nothing extra that I didnt already have.  I am loving decorating things with flowers at the moment and I love the way they make this card look - so elegant.

Here are some pics of this easel card incorporating music - love the way this turned out!

Thanks for looking and until next week - it's bye for now!

CRAZY 4 CHALLENGES - C4C505 - HI MISS YOU CARD

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for stopping by!

This month over with the Crazy 4 Challenges team it is my turn to host the challenges each week and as hostess I get to choose the themes.

Our guest designer for this month is Kristine Reynolds from Stamping and Scrapping in California and I appreciate Kristine helping us out again this month!

So, let's kick things off this week and 'Focus on the Sentiment' - make the sentiment the star of your card - the bigger the better!

And here is my card for this week's challenge - I had some fun playing with my alcohol inks to create a background that I could put behind my 'hi' die and then I put 'miss you' under it to complete the sentiment.  I am really happy with how this card came out.  I love purples and this card is packing a real purple punch - using Wilted Violet and Eggplant Alcohol inks by Ranger.

Thanks for looking and until next week - it's bye for now!
