CRAZY FOR CHALLENGES C4C472 - PET CARD

Hi Guys!

Thanks for stopping by!

This week the challenge with crazies is:

It's also National Dog Biscuit Day!  So this week let's put a pet on your card.  It doesn't have to be a dog.

Now, I do have a dog, a beautiful staffy called 'Kevin' and I was going to do a card and put a picture of him on it but I decided that I didnt really want to.  Kevin has his own Instagram account and that is the only place on social media where I put pictures of him.

So, with that being said I decided to do a card with 'goldfish' on it.  We've all had goldfish for a pet at some stage or another, right?  Well, I know I have and my daughter Melissa has had her share of goldfish over the years.

I wanted to make an Inside Tunnel card that I had previously watched Jennifer McGuire's tutorial for and I wanted to make one as well.  I just love the way you can get depth and dimension with the layers of the inside tunnel cards.

The bubble weave textured card is from lacartapaper.com.au but sadly is no longer available. But it was a fun type of card to use for this fish themed card.

I used Hero Arts Colour Layering Goldfish stamp and die set for this card.

The stitched circle nesting dies I used were from Paper Rose Studio.

I did do a video of me making this card and you can watch that here.

Here are some pics of the card. I had a lot of fun making this card! Thanks for looking.

That's it from me until next time - have a great week and bye for now!

CRAZY FOR CHALLENGES C4C471 - IT'S SKETCH WEEK

Hi Guys!

Thanks for stopping by!

This week over with the Crazy 4 Challenges team it's sketch week and this week it's this sketch layout:

Sketch Week but with a twist.  Your card can follow the sketch as is or you can make it as a tent fold or you can flip the rectangles and 3 elements to the opposite sides as in the sketch!

I have to admit that I really struggle sometimes with the sketches and this is only my second one!  I think it is because I over think the layout. I hope to get better with that in the coming months.
I did go a little bit 'rogue' with this sketch layout so I do apologise to Frances and also to our lovely hostess Kathleen.  I did veer from the layout slightly but I hope you both can forgive me?

I am very happy with how the card turned out using Concord & 9th's 'Crafty Turnabout' stamp and die set. Aren't those little scissors the cutest things you ever did see?

Here is my card for this week's sketch - I hope you like it:

Until next time guys it's 'bye' from me for now!

CRAZY FOR CHALLENGES C4C470 - VALENTINES DAY CARD

Hi Guys!

Thanks for stopping by!

This week the crazies challenge over at Crazy 4 Challenges is :

Today is National Tooth Ache Day! Yes, I’m not kidding. But it’s also Valentine’s Day on Thursday. So make a Valentine’s Day card.

I'm not really big on Valentine's day but I still came up with a card for this challenge.

I just love the maze shapes, pouches, and spheres from My Favourite Things and a Maze Card to me is right up there with Interactive Cards.

The nesting hearts die set I used is from Couture Creations and I used the largest heart die of the set.

I tried making the card on a 4 and a quarter by 5 and a half inch side folding card but I was not happy with how it looked so I changed the card to a square card measuring 5 and a half inch squared side folding and I was much happier with the end result.

The stamps I used were from My Favourite Things  (You're Amazing stamp and die set) and also Hero Arts (Love Stamp and Cut)

There is a video on my youtube channel here

Here are the still pics.

Until next time - bye for now!

CRAZY FOR CHALLENGES C4C469 - GROUND HOG (CRITTER) DAY!

Hi Guys!

Thanks for stopping by!

This week the crazies challenge over at Crazy 4 Challenges is:

Today is Ground Hog Day! If you don’t have an image of a ground hog then put any other ground critter on your card this week!

So I decided to go with a ground critter and I chose a very cute fox.  This fox is a cutting file I purchased from the Silhouette Design store and I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut her out.

I used the pop up mechanism from Karen Burniston's die set 'Katherine Pop Up' to make the pop up portion of the card.

Kraft colour card stock for my card base and another darker brown card that I embossed a tree grain on with an embossing folder.

The leafy frame die is from Simon Says Stamp which added a nice touch to the front and inside of the card.

The hello die I used is from Essentials by Ellen in the Letterboard cursive script set. The alphabet die set was a freebie die on a craft magazine.

I used Paper Rose Studio Stitched Circle die set and Stitched Rectangle die set.

I also, did a video putting this card together here

Here are some pics as well.

Thanks for looking guys and see you next time!
