CRAZY 4 CHALLENGES - C4C556 - BRIDGE CARD

 Hi Everyone!

Thanks for stopping by!

This week over with the Crazy 4 Challenges design team our challenge is:

10th October - C4C556: Bridge Cards – This week we are creating bridge cards, here are a couple of tutorials to help with inspiration. Bridge Cards - https://www.jennifermcguireink.com/2019/06/bridge-cards.html More Bridge Cards - https://www.jennifermcguireink.com/2020/08/more-bridges-cardsdiscount-code-giveaway.html

For my inspiration for my card I followed Jennifer McGuire's tutorial from above and created a slimline bridge card in the portrait orientation.

The stamps and die set I used to make my card were a new purchase from The Greetery (Cozy Cup stamp and die set and the Coaster die) which I waited absolute weeks to arrive due to the pandemic - the mail is just sooo sloooowww right now.

I just love the style of the stamps and I think I will use this set a lot. Especially, seeing we cant get out to socialise at the moment due to stage 4 restrictions in Melbourne but hopefully in the coming weeks.  It will be nice to go out and have coffee again.

I love the tones of aqua and I used inkpads from altenew 'Dew Drop' and 'Aqualicious'

I printed the sentiment out on my computer and then die cut the banner.

Here is my card and I love the way it turned out.

Thanks for looking and until next week - it's bye for now!

CRAZY 4 CHALLENGES - C4C499 - CUT UP STAMPING

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for stopping by today!

This week over with the team at Crazy 4 Challenges the theme is:

24th August - C4C499: Cut Up Stamping - This isn't a new technique and I  (Frances) have done it many times in the past in various ways. However Jennifer McGuire shared this fun technique a few months ago, so I (Frances) thought it would be fun to revisit this technique. So for our challenge this week create a card for our challenge today using this technique. https://www.jennifermcguireink.com/2019/02/cut-up-stamping-giveaway.html

I left my run very late this week to get my card done - I just got busy with work and then I forgot. But, I did get a card done very late today and I am just now posting it.  I am sorry I am so late this week but you know how it is, life, it gets in the way sometimes.

I decided to use Concord and 9th's crafty turnabout stamp and die set for this technique today.   I, myself, have never really done a cut up stamping technique and I cant say that I did a great job but I am happy with how my card turned out in the end.  I used new to me Catherine Pooler inkpads in Lime Rickety, Aquatini, Something Borrowed and Flirty Fuschia.  They really are lovely inkpads and I will need to get more!

I focused mainly on the Aquatini colour.  And I just love those little scissors - I mean, how cute are they?

Here is my card - thanks for looking!

Until next time - it's bye for now!

CRAZY 4 CHALLENGES - C4C491 - FLAMINGO CARD

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for stopping by today!

This week over with the team at Crazy 4 Challenges the theme is:

July 6 – C4C491: Today is National Fried Chicken Day in the U.S. For today's challenge, create a card with a bird on it.

So, I decided to use a card that I have previously made but was towards the end of 2017.
I used the layering flamingo stamp and die set from Hero Arts and made a see through card using acetate. This type of card was inspired by Jennifer McGuire and the video is here.

I did some partial die cutting around the flamingo using the coordinating die and I am very pleased with the way this card came out. I posted it to a friend who was very happy to receive it and this is actually her picture that I am using.

Here is the pic - I hope you enjoy looking.

Until next week - bye for now!

CRAZY FOR CHALLENGES - C4C489 - COLOUR COMBO

Hi Everyone!

Thanks for stopping by!

This week over at the Crazy 4 Challenges team the theme is a Colour Combo and this is the combination we had to work with:

So basically, we had Blush, Aqua, Mint colours also using a choice of neutrals Ivory, Gold or Tan.

I think I covered the combination pretty well and only missed using tan which I probably could have incorporated on my background instead of using gold embossing but I am pretty happy with how my card came out for this challenge.

On to the card I made and I decided to make an 'Interlocking Gate Fold Card' which Jennifer McGuire had done a recent tutorial for and I shall link the video here.  I love a LOT of what Jennifer McGuire does and I often turn to her channel for inspiration - also Pinterest is a huge 'go to' for me as well.

For my 'Interlocking Gate Fold Card' I used the 'Lovely Blossoms' turnabout stamp and die set from Concord & 9th.  This turnabout stamp and die set is another favourite of mine and I turn to it often to use on projects. I love the background and you can create so many different looks with it by changing your colour combinations.

Here is my card - extremely hard to photograph to show the gold embossing but I am happy with it.

Thanks very much for looking and stopping by my blog today - I have some entries to catch up and will try to post some other things that I have been up to in the next week or so.  Until next time - keep being crafty and bye for now!
